Splitting a PDF and extracting pages
Page ranges
The syntax is the same as in most print dialogs: commas to separate and hyphens for ranges. An open range like "10-" runs to the last page, handy when you don't know how many pages the document has.
Extract or split
"Extract pages" creates a single PDF with the chosen pages, in the order you type them, so it also works for reordering. "Split all pages" creates one file per page, useful for payslips or invoices that arrive bundled.
No quality loss
Pages are copied as they are, without rasterizing or recompressing. Text stays selectable and visible signatures remain as images, although the cryptographic validity of a digital signature is lost once the document is modified.

Frequently asked questions
How do I enter the pages I want?+
Separate with commas and use hyphens for ranges. "1-3, 5" extracts pages 1, 2, 3 and 5. "8-" goes from page 8 to the end.
Can I change the page order?+
Yes: pages are copied in the order you type them. "5, 1-4" puts page 5 at the start of the new document.
Is quality lost when splitting?+
No. Pages are copied as they are, without recompressing text or images.
