Page size
A4 is the standard in Europe and most of the world; Letter in the US and Canada. "Same as image" creates pages the exact size of each photo, useful for presentations or screenshots, but it gives irregular pages when printed.
Automatic orientation
If an image is wider than it is tall, the page is rotated to landscape. That way a screenshot fills the whole sheet instead of being a narrow strip.
PDF size
Phone photos can weigh 3–5 MB each. If the PDF is going to a form with a size limit, run them through the image compressor first with a max width of 1920 px: the document stays perfectly readable.

Frequently asked questions
Which image formats are supported?+
JPG and PNG are embedded directly. WebP, GIF and any other format your browser can open are converted to PNG automatically first.
Do landscape photos look right?+
Yes. With A4 or Letter, landscape images are placed on a landscape page to make the most of the space.
Does photo quality drop?+
JPG and PNG are embedded without recompression. If the resulting PDF is too heavy, compress the images first with the image compressor.
