Converting between JSON and CSV
Different structures
CSV is flat (rows and columns) while JSON supports nested objects and lists. When converting JSON to CSV, nested objects are flattened with keys like address.city, and lists are serialized into a single cell.
Commas, quotes and line breaks
A field containing commas, quotes or line breaks must be wrapped in double quotes, and inner quotes are doubled (""). This is the most frequent reason Excel shows shifted columns.
Separator and encoding
In some regional settings (including Spanish and German) Excel expects a semicolon as separator. Save the file as UTF-8 to keep accents.

Frequently asked questions
What does it do with nested objects?+
It flattens them by serializing to JSON inside the cell, so no information is lost.
