Random numbers: quality randomness
Pseudo-random versus cryptographic
Math.random is fast but predictable: unsuitable for keys or serious draws. The browser's crypto.getRandomValues API provides cryptographic randomness.
Fair draws
To pick a number in a range without bias you must discard values that would break the uniform distribution; simply using the modulo favors some numbers.
With or without repetition
For list draws, enable the no-repetition option: each value comes out only once, like drawing balls from a drum.
