Secure Password Generator
Generate strong passwords with customizable characters: length, uppercase, lowercase, digits and symbols. Shows the estimated strength and measures entropy.
Generation options
Muy fuerte · 101 bits · pool of 80 characters
Result (0 passwords)
Generated locally with crypto.getRandomValues. Never sent over the network.
How to use: Passwords
- 1Pick the length and how many passwords you want.
- 2Tick the character sets and skip ambiguous characters if needed.
- 3Check the estimated entropy and copy the password.
What is it for?
- Create strong passwords for new accounts.
- Generate keys for databases, APIs or services.
- Replace weak or reused passwords.
What makes a password truly strong
Length matters more than complexity
Strength is measured in entropy: how many combinations an attacker would have to try. Every extra character multiplies that number. A random 16-character password with lowercase, uppercase and digits exceeds 95 bits of entropy, far above an 8-character one with symbols. Adding a symbol helps little; adding length helps a lot.
Random versus memorable
Passwords people invent follow predictable patterns (names, dates, substitutions like a→@). A generator uses cryptographic randomness (crypto.getRandomValues), with no patterns. For passwords you must remember, a passphrase of several random words is a good option; for everything else, store generated ones in a password manager.
Good practice
Use a different password for every service: reuse is the main reason a breach at one site compromises your other accounts. Turn on two-step verification wherever it exists, and change a password only when there are signs of a leak, not on a schedule.
Privacy
The password is generated in your browser and is neither sent nor stored on any server. Even so, copy it straight into your manager and do not leave it on the clipboard longer than necessary.

Frequently asked questions
How many characters are recommended?+
At least 14 characters mixing types is recommended. The longer it is, the more entropy and the harder to crack.
Is the password stored?+
No. It's generated in your browser and never sent or stored anywhere.
