Cron Builder & Analyzer

Build cron expressions visually by choosing the minute, hour, day, month and weekday. Or analyze an existing expression to see when it runs in plain language and the next 5 real dates.

Settings

*/5 * * * *

Format: min hora día-del-mes mes día-semana [segundo]. Allowed range 0-59 / 0-23 / 1-31 / 1-12 / 0-7.

Next runs

Runs: en el minuto cada 5 (de *), de cada hora, todos los días

#1vie, 23/10/2026, 15:10:00
#2vie, 23/10/2026, 15:15:00
#3vie, 23/10/2026, 15:20:00
#4vie, 23/10/2026, 15:25:00
#5vie, 23/10/2026, 15:30:00

The field list is interpreted as: min="*/5", hour="*", dom="*", mon="*", dow="*".

Copy the generated expression and paste it into your crontab.

  • Understand what a legacy cron does.
  • Document scheduled jobs in plain language.

From plain language to cron

Phrases to expressions

Describe the frequency ("every day at 9", "Mondays at 8:30") and get a five-field expression ready to copy into crontab, GitHub Actions or a scheduler.

Differences between platforms

Quartz and Spring use six or seven fields including seconds; AWS EventBridge has its own syntax. Adapt the expression to the system where you will deploy it.

Check the next runs

Always review the next calculated dates and the server time zone before trusting the schedule.
